The Detention House in Tsong Pin Street has been under repair since last year, and therefore the sections in the Branch Prison South 1, South 2, South 3 and South 4, are being tempor- arily made use of as Dentention House. The Russian Advisors inspected them all one after another, and then proceeded to see the Prisoners Workshop in the Canton Branch Prison and inspect how the prisoners manufactured match-boxes and the official forms used in legal pro- cedure. After the insection they had a tea party before they left. Dr. Ngai and Choustiere were professors of politics and economics in Leningrad, and become advisors to the Judicial Investigation Commission in Canton on the invitation of Tsui Him, Minister of Justice. They will shortly proceed to Hupeh, and help Minister Tsui to effect a reform of our judicial system.
